Power Outages

• A branch fell across three phases in the alley between Main Street and First Street, south of Ninth Avenue on Monday causing an outage. When Shawn Lambertz arrived on the scene from the City Electric Department, he said he saw a ball of fire 10 feet in the air. The outage was short lived as the branch was removed.
• A scheduled power outage was held Tuesday for the west side of town. A pole had to be moved because of the street project and due to the complexity of the transfer, power was turned off so the electric crew could do the work safely. The outage was scheduled to take up to an hour and a half, but with a lot of prep work being done ahead of time, the outage was limited to 30 minutes.
