• Beginning in September, all walleye caught in the same lakes must exceed 15 inches, with only one over 20.

Pierre man selected for SD Transportation Hall

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A highway engineer from Pierre has been selected for induction into the South Dakota Transportation Hall of Honor for 2014.
• Tim Bjorneberg (BYORN'-buhrg) spent 31 years with the South Dakota Department of Transportation, beginning his career in a field office in Yankton in 1980.
• He held various positions in Pierre including squad leader, chief road design engineer and state highway engineer. His last six years were spent as the program manager of the office of project development before his retirement in 2011.
• The Transportation Hall of Honor recognizes those who have made a lasting, valuable or unique contribution to South Dakota's air, highway or rail transportation system.
• The hall dates back to 1972 and now includes 83 inductees.
• A banquet to honor Bjorneberg will be announced at a later date.

Liberty Bell replica goes on display in Rapid City

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A full-size Liberty Bell replica goes on display this week in Rapid City and will be rung hourly in celebration of the Fourth of July.
• Visitors to the Founding Fathers Black Hill tourist attraction can also hear a free dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence by a Revolutionary War-era re-enactor. That will be held every hour on Friday, followed by a ceremonial ringing of the bell.
• The new bronze bell weighs 2,300 pounds and is made of 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin. Unlike the original Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, the replica features a "false crack" that allows it to still produce a high-quality ringing tone.
• The attraction is 6 miles south of Rapid City on the road to Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

Midwest economic index inches up again

• OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- A monthly economic index for nine Midwestern and Plains states has inched up again, suggesting more economic growth over the next three to six months.
