• Katlyn Kyar, sixth grade, is the daughter of Gail and Kevin Kyar, Groton, and has a younger brother, Ian. She is involved in archery and her accomplishments include having a superior in piano festival and being on the team that qualified for Global Finals in Destination Imagination. She is interested in archery, music and books.
• Katlyn's favorite subjects are reading and art and she plans to go to college. Her role model is Teresa Winsenburg.
• Samantha Menzia, seventh grade, is the daughter of Ann and Eric Menzia, Conde. Her siblings are Sara, Nick and Sanjay. She is involved in basketball, volleyball, track and Carnival of Silver Skates. Her accomplishments include getting first place in a DARE essay, being chosen for Student of the Month and basketball.
• Samantha's interests are sports, hanging with friends and family, fishing, camping, movies and having fun. Her favorite subject is math and she plans to be a teen counselor. Her role models are her coaches.
• Kate Kate Po, eighth grader, is from Groton. Family members are Ehkalu Htoo, Eh Shee, Mulaler Poe, Peace Charity Heoo, Htoo Htoo and Pa Khet.
• Kate Kate's activities include soccer, basketball and track and field. She had a perfect attendance from kindergarten to fourth grade. She is interested in computer programming, free-lance artist, cartoonist, and illustrator. Art is her favorite subject. She plans to go to a fine arts college for four years, then to be a free lance artist, or, if offered, work for a company. Her role models are Nick Delco, Mark Crilley and
