• The attorney general's office says 47-year-old Theresa Dashewich was discovered Tuesday in Jackson County. Her last known address was Huber Heights, Ohio.
• Anyone with information about Dashewich is asked to call 605-394-1884.
• Investigators say she might have been traveling along Interstate 90 and frequented truck stops.

Pressler files brief supporting gay marriage

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- U.S. Senate candidate Larry Pressler has filed a brief in federal court in support of couples that are seeking to repeal the state's ban on same-sex marriage.
• Six South Dakota couples filed a federal lawsuit challenging South Dakota's ban last month. The federal complaint filed in Sioux Falls challenges a law and voter-approved constitutional amendment.
• Pressler filed the brief with the court Wednesday. He says he filed a similar document with the U.S. Supreme Court a few years ago also in support of the issue.
• Attorney General Marty Jackley has said he's obligated by law to defend the ban.
• Pressler will be on the November ballot seeking the seat being vacated by retiring Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson.

Wessington Springs tornado rated EF-2; hit 127 mph

• WESSINGTON SPRINGS, S.D. (AP) -- The National Weather Service says the tornado that destroyed homes and businesses and injured one person in Wessington Springs has been rated as an EF-2.
• Meteorologist Sally Johnson in Sioux Falls says the twister was on the ground for about 40 minutes Wednesday night and its winds peaked at 127 mph. Johnson says the tornado's path length was approximately 2 miles.
• Authorities say 10 businesses were damaged, five of them extensively, and at least 25 of 43 houses that were damaged are uninhabitable.
• Only one person was treated at the local hospital in connection with the tornado. A hospital spokeswoman says the patient has been released.
• Wessington Springs is about 125 miles northwest of Sioux Falls and has a population of about 850.
