• Television viewership for the football finals averaged more than 20,000 viewers per game with a high of 27,450 for the 11-man AAA game. On the Web, the three days of games had 47,921 live-stream plays. The B game, played during the day, was the most popular.
• "They hide from their bosses at work and they're watching the game on their computers," Rohrer said.
• Information Rohrer presented to board members said that in March SDPB delivered 75,285 hours of video with 82 percent played on desktop or laptop computers and 18 percent played on mobile devices.
• SDPB pays $63,500 annually for the broadcast rights as well as 10 percent of advertising sales. SDHSAA's share of ad sales was $24,723.50 in fiscal year 2014 for a total of $88,223.50.

Activities association will have new leaders, new members

• PIERRE, S.D. - When the South Dakota High School Activities Association convenes for its next meeting Aug. 27 and 28 in Pierre, it will have new leaders and four new members.
• Rick Weber, superintendent at Flandreau, was elected chairman and Jason Uttermark, principal at Aberdeen Central, will serve as vice chairman.
• Leaving the board are former chairman Darren Paulson of Rapid City Central, the West River at-large representative, and Eldon Marshall of White River, the Native American at-large representative. Two terms on the board were left unfinished with the resignation of Miller Superintendent Mike Ruth and the death of Aberdeen School Board member Mike Miller.
• Members filled two of the four openings on the board at the association's annual meeting in April. Elected without opposition were Spearfish High School Principal Steve Morford to fill Paulson's West River at-large position and Todd County Superintendent Roger Bordeaux to fill Marshall's Native American at-large position.
• Elections were held for large school group board of education member and a small school slot on the board. SDHSAA rules say the winner in board elections must receive a majority of the votes cast or there will be a runoff between the two
