Ringgenberg named new Miss Olive Grove

• Twenty-six years ago, the green fields on the east side of Groton was a cow pasture. Today its lush green spaces mark Groton's 9-hole golf course and this weekend, Olive Grove is celebrating 25 years.
• Saturday evening was the Miss Olive Grove Competition and a talent show followed by a fundraising auction. This was the third time Olive Grove has held a Miss Olive Grove contest. The first was in 1998 when Craig Jondahl was crowned Miss Olive Grove and Ryan Schelle was the second "Queen" in 2006.
• As the reigning "Queen", Miss Rylee Schelle, returned to crown the new "Queen" Saturday evening. There were 10 contests vying for the title. They were: Miss Brenda (Blake) Ronning, Miss Charlene (Charlie) Dirks, Miss Jenifer (Jason) Hill, Miss Chastity (Chad) Kampa, Miss Candy (Craig) Dunker, Miss Delores (Dale) Ringgenberg, Miss Brittney (Brett) Merkel, Miss Emily (Eric) Moody and Miss Augusta Kleinsasser (Austin) Schuelke.
