Ann B. Davis, actress who played housekeeper on 'The Brady Bunch,' dies in Texas at age 88

• Emmy-winning actress Ann B. Davis, who became the country's favorite and most famous housekeeper as the devoted Alice Nelson of "The Brady Bunch," died Sunday at a San Antonio hospital. She was 88.
• Bexar County, Texas, medical examiner's investigator Sara Horne said Davis died Sunday morning at University Hospital. Horne said no cause of death was available and that an autopsy was planned Monday.
• Bill Frey, a retired Episcopal bishop and a longtime friend of Davis, said she suffered a fall Saturday at her San Antonio home. Frey said Davis had lived with him and his wife, Barbara, since 1976.
• More than a decade before scoring as the Bradys' loyal Alice, Davis was the razor-tongued secretary on another stalwart TV sitcom, "The Bob Cummings Show," which brought her two Emmys. Over the years, she also appeared on Broadway and in occasional movies.
• Frey said Davis became part of his and his wife's "household community" after she re-embraced her Christian faith and left Hollywood behind.

Kings reach Stanley Cup finals with Game 7 win at Chicago Blackhawks; Rangers await

• CHICAGO (AP) -- The Los Angeles Kings almost went down in their opening playoff series. They flirted with elimination again in the second round. They went to the absolute edge of the offseason in the Western Conference finals.
• This is one tough team heading to the Stanley Cup finals.
• Alec Martinez scored at 5:47 of overtime, and the Kings beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 Sunday night to advance to the NHL's championship for the second time in three years.
• Los Angeles improved to 7-0 in elimination games with its third Game 7 win on the road this postseason. It will host the New York Rangers in Game 1 on Wednesday night.
• "It's just a trust system in this room as the result of being together for hundreds of games," Kings captain Dustin Brown said. "Climbing the hill once. Then trying to do it again. We know what to expect and we expect a lot from each other."
