Larson wins state 400m dash, takes second in 200m dash, resets own school record in 400m dash

• Coach Brian Schuring said it best. "It was a good day."
• A group of junior boys scored 21 points and placed in three events at the state track meet in Madison and Sioux Falls. The star of the day was Landon Larson. "He was fun to watch on Friday," Schuring said. "He opened up some eyebrows down there. People down south didn't know what kind of kid Landon was." In the 400m prelims, Larson reset his own school record with a time of 49.30. He won the event on Saturday with a time of 49.72.
