DI Global Finals Update

• The last day of Global Finals proved to be another fun-filled day which included the Instant Challenge for both "Out of the Boxers" and "5 Confused People".  At the Instant Challenge site, teams from all levels (elementary, middle, secondary, and university) are gathered in groups and then spectators and fans are asked to form a human tunnel for the teams to run through on their way into the building.  The participants are cheered on by a huge crowd of people and after their challenge they are given the chance to perform their "TADA".  There is an open space where the team gathers and does something unique to showcase their talents or just to be recognized for being at Global Finals.  The South Korean buddy team to "5 Confused People" came to watch our TADA and then we all ate lunch together and visited one final time. As the two buddy teams and one of the younger South Korean teams were lining up to get a group photo, a team manager from Michigan asked if they could "photobomb" us along with some kids from Indiana.  They were trying to complete a scavenger hunt during their Global Finals trip. Then they made a "spirit tunnel" for us to run through and we returned the favor for them.
• The Closing Ceremony was the highlight of the evening followed by the Teen Party.  We are happy to say that  "Out of the Boxers" tied for 36th place and "5 Confused People" tied for 33rd place.  All in all, the week was full of laughter, meeting new people, learning, and making memories.  Both teams and their managers would like to thank the community and surrounding area for supporting us during our fundraising efforts. We are proud to be able to represent Groton and the great state of South Dakota!
