Don Meyer service to be streamed on Internet

• ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- As many as 6,000 people are expected to attend coach Don Meyer's memorial service in South Dakota, which will also be streamed on the Internet.
• Meyer had one of the best winning records in college basketball history when he died Sunday of cancer in Aberdeen, where he finished his career at Northern State University.
• A public memorial service will be held on campus in the Barnett Center starting at 3 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 2 p.m.
• Photos and video won't be allowed, even on cellphones.
• The Internet stream will be available at http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/northern.portal# .
• A second memorial service will be held June 1 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dozens of projects in SD initiative's first year

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A new state economic development effort doled out more than $7 million in grants and loans in its first year, though some lawmakers want to revisit how the money is distributed.
• The 2013 Legislature established the Building South Dakota fund as a way to eliminate some of the debate about how to use unclaimed property dollars on housing, education and infrastructure projects.
• It feeds money into five different "buckets," as legislators call them, with a different goals and managers. Here's a look at the five funds, 11 months after the policy's inauguration:
• HOUSING OPPORTUNITY FUND
• The program has awarded $3.5 million to 38 projects, including several to chapters of Habitat for Humanity.
• The housing fund is managed by the state's Housing Development Authority, which usually supports projects with federal money that serve low-income people.
• Lorraine Polak, director of rental housing development, said money from Building
