Scattered thunderstorms will develop later this afternoon and evening. The storms will develop in the vicinity of the Missouri River early on, with northeast South Dakota seeing storms by late evening. Although severe weather is not expected, some of the storms could contain locally heavy rain and small hail. The storms will dissipate during the overnight hours, just to redevelop again Sunday afternoon and evening. Again, locally heavy rain is possible during the afternoon Sunday. A frontal boundary will stall out across the eastern part of South Dakota on Memorial Day, providing chances for storms Monday afternoon and evening.
