• Cammack said Wink broke his collarbone in five places, so the surgery took longer than expected Friday. The Rapid City Journal reported that Wink also suffered some broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung.
• The 69-year-old Wink was to appear Thursday at a candidate forum sponsored by the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce. He is one of five Republican state representative candidates facing off in a June 3 primary for the two seats in District 29, which covers Butte, Meade and Pennington counties.
• Cammack said it will be awhile before Wink is back to full strength, but that his neighbors have already been talking about ways to help him with the spring chores on his ranch.
• After becoming hurt, Wink was taken to Sturgis Regional Hospital. He later was transferred to Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Rapid City police arrest man, 28, for murder

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) Police say they've arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly killing another man while they were drinking together at an apartment complex in Rapid City.
• Police say the body of 59-year-old Lars Greeley was found in a common area of the complex at 603 Quincy St., shortly after 5 a.m. Friday morning by another resident.
• Police spokeswoman Tarah Heupel said Saturday that Greeley and the suspect were drinking with two others Thursday night at the apartment complex when the younger man assaulted Greeley. She said it's unclear what provoked the alleged attack. The suspect also allegedly assaulted a second man when he tried to stop the beating.
• Heupel said the man is facing charges of aggravated assault and second degree murder. He will have his initial appearance Monday.

Rapid City police begin enforcing texting ban

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- The Rapid City Police Department says it began enforcing a citywide texting-while-driving ban Friday, but will not yet be handing out citations.
• The department says officers will be looking for inattentive drivers and will only issue warnings for now. They'll also hand out informational pamphlets, which they
