to 10 golfers in both the boys and girls programs. "The golfing community has been real generous for us and the golf course bends over backwards for us," Blackmun said. "They are very supportive."
• Superintendent Joe Schwan said the board needs to look at the preliminary budget and see what the district can do to reinstate the programs back into the district budget. "We are in the position to go above the $7,000 that we're giving them now," he said. "Seven thousand dollars in the general fund is minimal." The state funding is still not back to where it was, but is improving which could help with the funding of these programs.  The board will grapple with this issue in the upcoming meetings.
