Severe weather possible in the central U.S. this weekend

• The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a risk of severe thunderstorms on Saturday from northern Oklahoma to eastern Kansas and most of Missouri. Damaging winds and large hail will be the primary threats. A more significant severe weather threat will exist Sunday from the Southern Plains to mid-Mississippi River Valley. Very large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes will be possible.
