Larson qualifies for state in 200m and 400m events

• Coach Brian Schuring called it a big day for Landon Larson at the Valley Queen Cheese Track and Field Event held Tuesday at Milbank. Larson qualified for state and won both the 200m event and 400m event. "We saw improvements all-around, in both the girls and boys events, which is good to see right before the Northeast Conference Meet this Saturday," Schuring said. The conference meet starts at 11 a.m. at Redfield.
• Also taking first were Jackson Doeden in the 110m Hurdles and Luca Kother in the 300m hurdles. Runner-up honors went to Luca Kother in the 110m hurdles and the boys 3200m relay team.

Landon Larson is Groton's first state qualifier as he won the 200m and 400m dash events at Milbank.
