Black Hills could see more heavy spring snow

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- The Black Hills of South Dakota might be in for more heavy spring snow.
• The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the region from Wednesday evening through midday Thursday. Forecasters say the Lead, Deadwood, Hill City, Custer and Mount Rushmore areas could get up to 8 inches of snow from a storm system moving out of the Rockies.
• A system that moved through the region last week dropped more than 2 feet of snow in some areas.

Man robs Sioux Falls casino with box cutter

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Sioux Falls police are investigating the armed robbery of a casino.
• Authorities say a man armed with a box cutter and wearing a bandanna over his face entered a Crown Casino at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money from a clerk. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
• The clerk was not hurt.

SD receives funds for breast cancer screening

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota effort to provide mammograms to uninsured and underinsured women has received a $31,000 grant.
• The funding comes from Susan G. Komen South Dakota. It goes to the state Department of Health's breast and cervical cancer screening program called "All Women Count!"
• An official with the department says the money will go toward screening and diagnostic mammograms for women ages 30-49.
• Breast cancer is the most common cancer after skin cancers among women in South Dakota. Nearly 550 women are estimated to be diagnosed with it every year. And 100 women die from it.
• The Komen South Dakota chapter also provided funding to Custer Health, Faulkton Area Medical Center, Gundersen Medical Foundation and the John T. Vucurevich Cancer Care Institute.
