"It's nice to know we have good drinking water," Mayor Hanlon said.  In a letter from DENR Secretary Steve Pirner, he said, "DENR is proud to honor the City of Groton and their operation specialists who have kept the water flowing, safe and in full compliance for 13 consecutive years. Water is always a precious commodity, but having water delivered to our homes suitable for drinking and all other household use is just awesome."
