Coach Brian Schuring said Groton's track teams had a really good day. "We won the boys team title and our girls placed second," he said. "We made some strides in a lot of areas and it is a credit to ALL the tracksters. We competed well and that is all our coaches ask of them--to give us their best effort. Great job by the Tigers from the Groton Area coaching staff!"

• Courtney Kurtz and Camille Sippel both ran on the winning 800m Relay and winning Medley Relay teams as the Groton girls took second at the Ipswich Invitational.
• Roncalli won the girls title thanks to the pole vault as the Cavaliers scored 28 points in just that event, placing four of the five places in that event.
