Up next we have Jayleen Lier. Jayleen likes dresses, so she chose to make this chiffon dress for her FACS III project. Jayleen picked this color of fabric because it brings out her eyes and because she also loves the color blue. Through color draping done in class, she determined that she looks best in the spring color palette.  Jayleen says she was faced many challenges (this was her very first sewing project as well). Her challenges include, but are not limited to: the pattern was difficult (the Walmart lady lied to her and said it would be easy) and her fabric was difficult to sew on (the Wal-Mart lady lied to her about that too)!  She still had a fun time sewing and says it was all worth it in the end. Jayleen is involved in FCCLA and plans on taking a FACS class next year. Super job, Jayleen!

Now let's bring out another group of FACS 1 students. Up first is Lexie Harder. She is wearing her pajama pants made from a cheetah print cotton fabric. This was Lexie's first sewing project. She found it challenging at first, but once she figured it out, she really enjoyed the project. Being in FACS and FCCLA had taught Lexie to be a more caring and responsible person. It has also taught her to be a helpful member in the community. Lexie plans on taking FACS 2 next year and also being in FCCLA as an officer. Great job, Lexie!
