Groton area Destination Imagination will be hosting the 2^nd Annual 5K run, walk, bike on May 17, 2014. Registration at 7:15 am, start time 8 am. Race begins at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Groton. Cost is $20, which includes a guaranteed t-shirt if registered by May 1^st. Registration forms can be obtained at the aberdeenrunningclub.com website or can be printed off on the next page of today's GDI. There will be refreshments following the race.  All proceeds will be going to the 11 students to offset the cost of attending Global Finals in Knoxville, TN May 21-24, 2014. These students have worked diligently to reach this highest level of competition for DI. Destination Imagination is one of the largest creative problem solving competitions for children, Groton Area had 8 teams this year, 2 of which advanced to Global Finals. Please also watch for additional DI fundraisers, including a rummage sale/bake sale/fresh mini donut sale at the Groton Elementary school on May 3 during the Groton city wide rummage sale.
