GRASP/OST (Before and After School Program) - Rose Long
Recent Activities:
• During GRASP, students have been participating in a variety of activities that help develop different social and motor skills. The students have been having a lot of fun each week building and playing with Legos, Jenga blocks, magnetic marbles, and playing with the basketballs among other activities. They also enjoy playing music where we dance to a variety of music. They have recently asked to add some country music to the mix, so I am slowly working on gathering some country music for them to dance to.
• Very recently, we have been participating in activities relating to spring, including more outside time. We have been very fortunate recently to have had some warm weather so we have been spent time outside engaged in our activities.  One of our recent activities that the OST students really enjoyed was a theme related to Ladybugs. The students created cupcakes that looked like Ladybugs and did other ladybug activities.  This theme was very popular.
• These are just some of the activities that the students have been participating in while attending GRASP.
Future Activities:
• Looking to the future, we have a lot of exciting things going to be happening at OST. We are going to have an April showers bring May flowers themed week right after Easter. We are also looking at more outside activities if the weather stays nice.
• I am planning on doing some different cooking activities with the students. We have had discussions about what they would like to make or create and I am going to take their ideas and see if we can make them happen.
• We will be sending out letters with information about the Summer GRASP Program after Easter. So if you are interested in your child(ren) attend the summer program, more information regarding the GRASP program will be sent out at that time.
