• Police responded to the scene around 1:20 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say the car crashed into the house and through a garage, hitting the bedroom of the family's two children.
• The children were sleeping in the room at the time of the crash but weren't injured.
• Sgt. Matt Burns says 21-year-old Givara Paulo Zaki has been cited with reckless driving. Burns says Zaki resides at the home and was not under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred.
• The Red Cross is assisting the family of four with temporary housing.
• The relationship between Zaki and the children was not immediately clear.
