A southeasterly flow will develop across the region today, with the winds becoming gusty and strong by noon. Wind Advisories are in effect for much of the region. Also, the strong winds, dry grasses and somewhat low relative humidity will provide for a high to very high fire danger today across the area. Toward late afternoon and early evening a few thunderstorms may form over the western Dakotas.
