As the severe weather threat continues into Monday, winter makes another quick return
• The severe weather threat will move into the Deep South on Monday as a strong cold front continues to move through the U.S. Flash flooding will also be possible as ample moisture over the area results in heavy rainfall. Behind the front, much colder temperatures will settle in to the central U.S. through Tuesday with some areas experiencing snow or a wintry mix.
• Today: Partly sunny with scattered snow showers. Highs in the upper 30s.

Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.
• Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows 15 to 20. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts to around 25 mph shifting to the southeast after midnight.
• Tuesday: Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
• Tuesday Night: Cloudy. A chance of light rain in the evening... Then freezing rain or snow likely...possibly mixed with rain after midnight. Lows in the upper 20s. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.
