Eastern Star

Grace Albrecht and Iva McCullough accompanied Lee Schinkel to Claremont last Tuesday evening, to attend the monthly stated meeting of t Eastern Star there.

Groton Lions Club

• Fifteen were present for the monthly potluck supper meeting of the Groton Lions Club.  The meetings are held at Topper Tastad's office on Main Street.
• Mayor Scott Hanlon became a new member of the club.
• This was a "work night", when everyone worked on stuffing eggs for the Easter egg hunt, set for Saturday, April 29, City Park.
• Plans were also made for the annual city-wide spring rummage sale, Saturday, May 4.
• Lee Schinkel, president; was elected the club's voting delegate to the multi district convention in Watertown, the end of May.

Groton Kiwanis Club

• Twelve members and one guest were present for last week's Kiwanis meeting.
• Tom Paepke, president; introduced our newly elected mayor, Scott Hanlon, who introduced the group.

Tom Mahan, chairman; outlined plans for the annual GHS track meet, on April 29.
