With the abnormally warm air, breezy westerly winds along with lowering relative humidity, dangerous fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon and early evening. Red flag warnings are in effect for much of the region today. A cold front will sweep across the region later this afternoon and overnight. This will bring strong northwest winds of 20 to 40 mph with higher gusts along with some showers and thunderstorms.
