ceived ratings based on tone, intonation, rhythm, balance and blend, technique, interpretation, and other factors.  Out of 35 possible points from each judge, the band received scores of 33, 33, and 32.  A score of 31-35 converts to a "Superior Rating", the top rating a band can achieve. 
• Attending Large Group Contest is a valuable experience to the students and their director.  It provides them with a formal evaluation of their band's performance and provides helpful suggestions on how the band can continue to grow and progress. 
• Other area bands participating in the contest were Aberdeen Central, Aberdeen Roncalli, Ipswich, Warner, Northwestern, Redfield, and Faulkton.
