Greenfield's Legislative Wrap-up

• As you have likely heard, the Governor issued only one veto during the 2014 Session.  Incidentally, it was on the bill I wrote about a few weeks ago that would have increased the occupancy tax on visitors to Deadwood.  In my discussion on that bill, I discussed my rationale for voting against the bill, and I suggested that the bill should be rejected when it arrived on the Governor's desk.  I was pleased to see that the bill was subsequently vetoed and that the veto was sustained by the Senate.  We have plenty of issues that are seemingly more
