S Dakota St women advance to WNIT semifinals

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota State University has made it to the semifinals of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
• SDSU beat Indiana 76-64 in the quarterfinals Sunday to advance. A season-high 3,972 fans turned out for the game in Brookings.
• The Jackrabbits find out Monday night who their semifinal opponent will be. Washington is playing UTEP for the right to advance. The game begins at 8 p.m. Central time.
• South Florida also is in the semifinals. Either Rutgers or Bowling Green also will make it. The semifinals are Wednesday and Thursday. The championship is Saturday.

Spring snow storm to impact much of South Dakota

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- No travel is advised in the northwestern corner of South Dakota, and motorists in other areas are advised to use caution as a spring snow storm hits.
• The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the west and north central areas of the state through the day, and for northeastern and east central South Dakota Monday afternoon and night. A winter storm warning is posted for the southwest and south central regions.
• Forecasters say snowfall amounts could reach a foot, and winds gusting to 50 mph will blow the snow around. Rain and sleet before the storm could create icy conditions in the northeast. State Transportation Secretary Darin Bergquist says conditions might deteriorate rapidly, and travel will be difficult if not impossible.

Historical Society to present Governor's Awards

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- The South Dakota Historical Society says three people and two organizations will be honored for their efforts in preserving the state's history.
• The groups and individuals will be presented with the Governor's Awards for History on Saturday in Pierre.
• The award recipients are Barbara Johnson of Aberdeen, Steve Olson of Water
