Sioux Valley edges Pine Ridge 60-54

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Sioux Valley pulled away from a tie after three quarters to beat Pine Ridge 60-54 in a consolation game Friday at the South Dakota Class B boys basketball tournament.
• The game was tied 40-40 until the Cossacks (20-4) pulled ahead in the fourth and stayed there.
• Tayt Vincent had 17 points. That included a 9-for-10 effort from the free throw line. Sioux Valley outscored Pine Ridge 22-5 from the line.
• Collin Kramer had 16 points and Spencer Hanson added 11.
• Jacob Brown had 14 points and Terry Thomas scored 11 for the Thorpes (20-4).

Tri-Valley beats Cheyenne-Eagle Butte at state A

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Brendon Boomsma scored 38 points to lead Tri-Valley to an 83-71 win over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Friday in a consolation game at the South Dakota Class A boys basketball tournament.
• Boomsma made 16 of 29 shots from the field, including four 3-pointers, for the Mustangs (13-12). Tri-Valley shot 51 percent from the field and scored 30 points in the paint.
• Joseph Newman had 12 points and nine rebounds.
• Xaviuer Norris led the Braves (19-5) with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Creighton LeBeau chipped in 26 points.

SF Roosevelt beats RC Stevens at state AA

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Third-seeded Sioux Falls Roosevelt beat Rapid City Stevens 61-42 Friday to set up a title game showdown with eighth-seeded Sioux Falls Lincoln at the South Dakota Class AA boys basketball tournament.
• The Rough Riders (21-3), who placed third in last year's tournament, shot 51 percent from the field and made 12 of 15 free throws. The also out-boarded the Rapid City Stevens 33-16.
• Chris Phillips and Jason Spicer led Roosevelt in scoring with 16 points apiece and Spicer had seven rebounds. Colton Kooima added 12 points.
• The Raiders (20-4) got 20 points from Steve Schaefer. No other Stevens player had more than five points.
