Minot-area suspect in Bismarck chase still sought

• BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Bismarck-area authorities are searching for a man wanted on numerous warrants in the Minot area.
• Authorities say 35-year-old Dustin Goettle (GEHT'-uhl) failed to show up for a Ward County court hearing this month. Bismarck police and Burleigh County officers chased him on Tuesday but called off the pursuit for safety reasons.
• Police believe Goettle threw a handgun out of the window of his vehicle during the chase. They recovered a gun that had been stolen in Mobridge, S.D., in February.
• Goettle faces drug, weapon and fleeing charges and could get life in prison if caught and convicted.

Fire displaces dozens at Rapid City motel

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that displaced dozens of people staying at a motel in Rapid City.
• No serious injuries were reported in the Wednesday night fire at the Stardust Motel, though one person was checked out by paramedics on the scene. Investigators say the blaze broke out on one side of the two-story motel's second floor. At least one room was gutted.
• The Red Cross reports that as many as 50 people were displaced. They were being put up in another motel in the city.

SD official warns of robocall credit card scam

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- An automated phone message has been prompting MasterCard customers to enter their card numbers in the dial pad.
• The South Dakota Attorney General warns consumers that this robocall is a scam.
• The caller ID number tied to the calls belongs to a Huston insurance company that is reportedly not associated with the scam.
• Consumers are advised to hang up on the call without pressing any numbers on their phone.
• Authorities urge those with questions and those who believe they have been vic
