SF Roosevelt 5th in state AA

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- Sioux Falls Roosevelt outscored Spearfish 19-5 in the second quarter and beat the Spartans 74-61 Saturday in the fifth-place game at the South Dakota Class AA girls basketball tournament.
• Tagyn Larson led the way for the Rough Riders (15-11) with 26 points and 12 rebounds. She made 9 of 17 shots from the field and 8 of 9 free throws.
• Nicole Hatcher had 18 points and Paige Mriden 16. Mriden had four 3-pointers.
• Ashton Burditt and Kaitlyn Hinch had 13 points each. Lexy Burket added 10.

Kimball-White Lake rallies to 5th place at state B

• HURON, S.D. (AP) -- Kimball-White Lake used a 20-point fourth quarter Saturday to beat Lemmon 46-41 in the fifth-place game at the South Dakota Class B girls basketball tournament.
• Lemmon was within three until missing a 3-pointer with 7 seconds left. Kimball-White Lake rebounded and was fouled but missed a free throw, giving the Cowgirls (23-3) life. But Lemmon had the outlet pass stolen and the Wildkats (17-8) made two free throws to clinch it.
• Jazmyn Hinker had 14 points and Kelli Steffen 11 fort Kimball-White Lake, which outscored Lemmon 14-5 from the line.
• Julie Blue Arm led Lemmon with 11 points.

Webster Area wins 7th place in girls Class A

• SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) -- Lindsey Vogl scored 18 points to lead Webster Area to a 55-39 win over Garretson on Saturday in the seventh-place game at the South Dakota Class A girls basketball tournament.
• The Bearcats (15-9) led 22-18 at the break and pulled away in the second half. Webster outscored Garretson 33-21 in the second half.
• Vogl was 6-for-11 from the field. She made all three of her 3-point attempts and grabbed four rebounds. Breanna Bullert added 13 points and eight rebounds.
• The Blue Dragons (11-14) shot 29 percent from the field and 18 percent from 3-point range. Haley Edmundson 12 points for Garretson.
