Accumulating Snow Possible on Tuesday

• A strong low pressure system will track across the northern plains Monday night and Tuesday. Precipitation will begin as rain Monday night, then transition over to snow on Tuesday as cooler air moves in.
• At this time, it looks like the entire forecast area has the potential for accumulating snow. However, there is a lot of uncertainty about where the heaviest snow will fall. Strong northerly winds are also possible and may create areas of blowing and drifting snow.
