Kimball-White Lake wins in consolation round

• HURON, S.D. (AP) -- Jazmyn Hinker's 17 points led Kimball-White Lake to a 42-28 win over Lyman Friday in the consolation round of the South Dakota Class B girls basketball tournament.
• Hinker was 5-for-10 from the field and made 7 of 8 free throws for the Wildkats (16-8). Ivy Haines added 10 points and six rebounds.
• Kimball-White Lake shot 48 percent while holding Lyman (15-10) to just 21 percent.
• Lyman got eight points from Chesney Garnos.

Pine Ridge pulls away at state A

• SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) -- Pine Ridge took the lead after half and never trailed again in beating Garretson 44-35 Friday in the consolation round at the South Dakota Class A girls basketball tournament.
• The game was tied 18-18 at half, but the Lady Thorpes (21-3) took control in the third quarter. They outscored the Blue Dragons 12-5 down the stretch.
• Santana White Dress had 17 points and Shaylene Richard 12 for Pine Ridge.
• Haley Edmundson had 17 points for the Blue Dragons (11-13).
• Garretson committed 27 turnovers.

Spearfish edges Harrisburg at state AA

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- Kaitlyn Hinch and Lexy Burket scored 14 points each to lead Spearfish over Harrisburg 48-45 in the consolation round of the South Dakota Class AA girls basketball tournament.
• Hinch was 5-for-11 from the field and hauled down nine rebounds for the Spartans (17-5). Burket made 6 of 9 shots from the field and added eight rebounds.
• Michaela Cermak added 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting.
• Harrisburg (15-10) got 13 points from Hailey Halling and 12 from Morgan Darner. Alex Johnson had three of the Tigers' five 3-pointers.
