• South Dakota State held a 26-23 lead at halftime. Zach Horstman's dunk gave the Jackrabbits their first double-digit lead of the game, which they held for the remainder. A 10-0 run, all scored by Carlson and Dykstra, made in 51-31.
• Western Illinois (10-20) was led by Garret Covington with 14 points. Jabari Sandifer had 13 and Michael Ochereobia 10.
• The Jackrabbits outrebounded Western Illinois 38-26 and went to the free throw line 31 times, making 23 of them, compared to 16 attempts.
• South Dakota State advances to play No. 2 seed Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne in the semifinals on Monday.

Denver rolls past South Dakota 71-55

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Brett Olson made four 3-pointers on his way to 20 points as fourth-seeded Denver beat No. 5 South Dakota 71-55 on Sunday in the Summit League quarterfinals.
• Denver led 38-32 at halftime, then held South Dakota to 23 second-half points on 35 percent shooting. Olson's 3-pointer to start the second half gave Denver a nine-point lead.
• Bryant Rucker had 14 points for Denver (16-14) and Jalen Love added 12. The Pioneers forced 11 turnovers, leading to 20 points.
• South Dakota (12-18) was led by Brandon Bos with 13 and Trevor Gruis' 12. The Coyotes made five 3-pointers in the first half but made just 1 of 7 in the second.
• The Coyotes trailed 60-50 with 3:46 left, then only made one more field goal, a Tavian Pomlee 3-pointer with 40 second left, the rest of the game.
• Denver faces top-seeded North Dakota State in the semifinals on Monday.

ATF seeking info on Yankton motel arson fire

• YANKTON, S.D. (AP) -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the arson fire at a Yankton Motel.
• It took some 55 firefighters about seven hours to battle the Tuesday morning blaze at the Colonial Inn Motel, which destroyed the center of the motel and caused heavy smoke damage throughout.
• The loss is estimated at approximately $500,000.
• The ATF, the Yankton Fire Department, the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and the South Dakota State Fire Marshal's Office conducted a fire scene examination and determined that the fire was deliberately set.
