• "Streams in the Desert" will be the theme for this year's World Day of Pray set for 9 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Groton United Methodist Church.
• The program was written by the World Day of Prayer committee in Egypt using the motto "Informal Prayer Leading to Prayerful Action." The study is on the Woman at the Well and how she was able to bridge religious and cultural differences to build a common ground. That empowered her to bring change to her community.
• All men, women and children are invited to attend with fellowship and refreshments to follow.
