the magnetic marbles, and playing with the basketballs. After we complete our activity for the day, the students always ask for free time and to play with the blocks, balls, and do coloring. They also enjoy playing music dance where we dance to a variety of music. They have recently asked to add some country music to the mix, so I am slowly working on gathering some country music for them.
• Over Valentine's Day, the students had the opportunity to watch some Bugs Bunny and Peppy Le Pew cartoons. They really enjoyed watching the cartoons especially the Bugs Bunny ones. Most of the students hadn't seen the Peppy Le Pew cartoons, so this was a good chance for them to see some and they really enjoyed Peppy Le Pew as well.
• These are just some of the activities that the students have been participating in while attending GRASP.
• Future Activities:
•  Looking ahead, the students will be participating in activities relating to spring, and St. Patrick's Day among other activities. We are hoping the weather starts to become nicer so that we can spend more time outside for recess each day.
• One activity I am looking at doing again with GRASP includes mixing colored sand in a canning jar. We use smaller size canning jars and the students have an opportunity to mix two or three colors in the jar. We layer the colors and then they can tilt or shake their jar until they have mixed the colors and made cool designs within the jar. The students then have an opportunity to take the jars home with them. We are going to hopefully be doing this activity in March.
