tunity for Wheeting as the Tigers took the lead, 15-13, with 5:55 left in the quarter. Wheeting would score again as Groton increased its lead to three, 17-14. Heintzman squashed the lead with a three-pointer to tie the game at 17. Roncalli reclaimed the lead at 19-17, but Kurtz would make a three-pointer with 1:27 left to give Groton a 20-19 lead at half time.
• Bohle would score to start the third quarter as the Cavaliers took the lead, 21-20. Kurtz converted a three-point play and Camille Sippel would hit a basket as Groton took a 25-21 lead. Turnovers started to plague the Tigers. Groton turned the ball over three times in a two-minute stretch and that allowed the Cavaliers to take a 28-25 lead. Free throws helped keep Groton in the game as Kurtz made three of four to tie the game at 28 with 3:12 left in the third quarter. Heintzman hit another three-pointer to take a 31-28 lead. Paige Sommers would hit a three-pointer with 14 seconds left in the third quarter as Roncalli took a 36-30 lead into the fourth quarter.
