Halle Dohman answered for the Tigers to tie the game at two, but then Roncalli's Mikayla Malsam and Kate Heintzman each hit a three-pointer and Emily Bohle and Hailey Kline each hit a two-pointer as the Cavaliers took a 12-2 lead.
• Groton battled back as Lauren Wheeting hit one inside, Courtney Kurtz stole the ball, made the shot, was fouled and made the free throw and a Roncalli turnover turned into a scoring opportunity for Kylie Hawkins.
