• Kelby Hawkins placed first, Jeric Albrecht placed second and Parker Kroll was third at the regional wrestling tournament held in Webster. These three Groton wrestlers will participate in the state tournament this weekend in Aberdeen.
• In the championship match, Kelby Hawkins won by forfeit over Oliver Aesoph, Faulkton; and Jeric Albrecht lost by a major decision to Nolan Richie, Webster, 14-3. In the third place match, Parker Kroll decisioned Kevin Schuelke, Clark-Willow Lake, 3-2.
