Suspect in Spearfish store robbery in custody

• SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) -- The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect in an armed robbery of a Spearfish convenience store earlier this month.
• Authorities say a man armed with a knife entered the Fresh Start Valley Corner store in the early morning hours of Feb. 5 and demanded cash from a clerk. He fled with an undisclosed amount.
• The Black Hills Pioneer reports (http://bit.ly/1hh2t1n ) that 25-year-old Tyler Weiers, of Spearfish, was arrested Friday and jailed on $100,000 bond. He was due to make his initial court appearance Monday.

Regional Indian Health Service agency changes name

• ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service has changed its name after more than half a century, following consultations with tribal leaders in the region.
• The agency that oversees 19 federally and tribally managed service units in South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa is now known as the Great Plains Area IHS.
• Officials say the new name not only reflects the geographical region but also honors the tribes who have been part of the Plains for thousands of years.
• The regional IHS office headquartered in the South Dakota city of Aberdeen was established in 1955. It collaborates with the 19 service units to provide health care to about 122,000 people.

SD bill would ban sale of e-cigarettes to minors

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota lawmakers are considering a proposal that would ban the sale of electronic cigarettes to minors.
• E-cigarettes are battery-powered devices that resemble traditional cigarettes. They heat a liquid solution, creating vapor that users inhale to get nicotine without the smoke of regular cigarettes.
• The Senate State Affairs Committee will discuss a bill Monday that would add electronic cigarettes to a state law that already bans the sale of regular cigarettes and other tobacco products to anyone younger than 18. Anyone selling electronic
