• I was pleased to support SB 119 in House Ag and Natural Resources which will remove offensive names from geographic locations. Some of these names are insulting to South Dakota's people and heritage, especially to our Native American citizens. We should be able to officially name bodies of water or locations without resorting to offending others. It's long overdue, but at least it has changed now.
