Charger boys bolt past Groton on buzzer shot

• Hamlin and Groton Area tangled in the boys varsity game in a 32-minute contest that was decided on a shot at the buzzer.
• Hamlin controlled the tip and throughout the first quarter, there were three lead changes and the game was tied at 2, 4, 6 and 8 before Groton took a 14-10 first quarter lead thanks to a three-pointer by Reilly Ell with 1:10 left in the quarter.
• Groton scored the first seven points of the second quarter to open up a 21-10 lead with 4:12 left in the half.  The Chargers than scored the last seven points of the second quarter and it was back to a four-point game at halftime, 21-17.
• "We didn't move the ball very well," said Coach Greg Kjellsen. "They out played us. There's no double about it."
• A pair of three-pointers by the Chargers in the third quarter made it a one-point game, 27-26, but Groton
