intent to sell on a written contract. Extending the time period from 2 to 5 days seems more than reasonable in comparison.  This bill failed in committee once again along straight party lines. This is one more example in Pierre of how they protect the "Big Guys/Big Business" and leave the "Little Guys/Small Business" to fend for themselves. I'm very disappointed with the lack of Republican leadership on this issue.
• HN 1177 passed on the House floor which would create a uniform law regarding texting and driving.  While I support local control, I realize that a texting ban must be worked out which will apply throughout the state.  After all, a driver traveling from one town to another has no way of knowing which community has a law against texting.  If it is a unsafe practice, and I believe it certainly is, then it it should be a violation throughout our state.
