the Tigers ahead and Groton took a 13-12 lead into the second quarter.
• The game was tied at 15 and 17 and there were two more lead changes before the momentum switched to Groton. Groton scored the last seven points of the second quarter to take a 24-17 lead at halftime. Kurtz picked up her third foul with 2:05 left in the first half. "We switched a few things defensively in the second half," Wanner said. "I put Courtney on the (Kate) Heintzman girl and flip flopped Camille over to (Paige) Sommers. So that really helped us a lot."
• Roncalli never threatened in the second half. Sippel and Kurtz each had a three-pointer to keep the Tigers on top at the end of the third quarter, 36-23. "Offensively, we converted when we needed too," Wanner said. "We played the pace of the game to the way we wanted too. We did an excellent job on the execution on the offensive side. We put up 52 points against a good defensive team. Roncalli likes to play fast. I thought we controlled the pace of the game, especially in the second half. We held them to 38 points."
• Groton opened up a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter and went on to win by 14, 52-38.
• After a long stretch of playing on the road, the Lady Tigers will be playing at home all the way up to state. Groton hosts Hamlin on Friday, Britton-Hecla on February 20th and the regions start
