The Northeast Conference battle continues to heat  up as Groton Area defeated Sisseton last night, 61-55, Milbank defeated Aberdeen Roncalli, 61-57, to hand the Cavaliers their second NEC loss, but Hamlin edged out Webster, 43-41, as the Chargers are still in the lead.
The NEC standings after last night:
Hamlin         5-0  (has games with Groton, Sisseton and Deuel left)
Groton         6-1  (has 1 game left with Hamlin)
Milbank       5-2
Roncalli       4-2
Webster       3-2
Sisseton      2-4
Redfield      1-5
Deuel is 0-5 and Britton-Hecla is 0-6
