South Dakota State wallops IPFW 79-51

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- Jordan Dykstra scored 18 points and Cody Larson added 17 as South Dakota State outshot Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne 79-51 on Thursday night in moving to within one loss of league leaders IPFW and North Dakota State in the Summit League.
• South Dakota State (13-10, 5-3 Summit League) broke out to a 43-30 lead over the Mastodons at the break and never let up, outscoring IPFW 36-21 in the second half. The Jackrabbits shot 50 percent from the field, including 10 of 19 from long range, while holding IPFW to 35 percent and only 6 of 24 from 3-point range. South Dakota State controlled the boards 42-30.
• Chad White contributed 15 points for the Jackrabbits, who have won three in a row.
• Steve Forbes (10 points) was the only IPFW (18-7, 6-2) player in double figures, while team leader Luis Jacobo (15.2 points per game) was held to just 9 points.
