A very cold air mass will remain in place over the region through the week as high pressure moves from the northern Rockies into the central Plains by Thursday morning. Northwest breezes will also combine with these cold temperatures to produce bitterly cold wind chills overnight, with readings from 25 below to 35 below zero. A wind chill advisory is in effect.
