The council took no action on the request, but would consider the options.

The council reviewed the 2014 Street and Curb and Gutter project which would be Second Avenue West and Third Avenue West and intersecting streets for a total of 15 blocks. The city has budgeted $1 million for the project. However, coming back a year later to remove three inches of gravel and putting down asphalt at a later time at a higher price could offset the difference in doing the project as a complete package. Herron said it is quite a process of taking out the gravel. Mayor Scott Hanlon said, "I think we would be better off doing it all as one project." If the bid gets too high, then the council would have to rebid it. The council decided to have the bids
