SD winter wheat, cattle and sheep in good shape

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota's winter wheat crop and livestock herds appear to be in good shape as the winter progresses.
• The federal Agriculture Department says in its monthly crop report that 60 percent of the winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent, and only 16 percent is rated poor or very poor.
• Cattle and calf conditions are rated 77 percent good to excellent, and sheep and lamb conditions 76 percent in those categories.
• Stockwater supplies are 89 percent adequate to surplus, and hay and forage supplies are 95 percent in those categories.

Bond set for 2 suspects in Sioux Falls robberies

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Bond has been set at $250,000 apiece for two men accused of going on an armed robbery spree in Sioux Falls.
• Twenty-year-old Joshua Porth and 24-year-old Jonathan Julson are accused in a string of five armed robberies of stores in an 11-day span in January. Both men face robbery charges, and Julson also faces a drug charge.
• Their public defenders did not argue the bond amount during Monday's court hearing.
• No one was hurt in any of the robberies.

Bond set at $500K for Sioux Falls rampage suspect

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A magistrate judge has set bond at $500,000 for a Minnesota man accused of going on a rampage in Sioux Falls with a stolen car.
• The public defender for 36-year-old Hills, Minn., resident Jeremy Albers did not contest the bond amount in a hearing Monday. Albers asked for a mental evaluation, saying he didn't remember the Sunday night incident.
• Police say Albers fled on foot from the scene of a vehicle crash, stole another vehicle and assaulted a woman who was still inside when he drove away. They say he swerved at officers before crashing the vehicle.
• Albers faces numerous charges including aggravated assault, robbery and drunken driving. Police allege his blood-alcohol level was more than three times the
